GPPA Convention 2009

LaRita and I recently got to attend our state convention for Georgia Professional Photographers of America. It was on Jekyll Island, and Abby and Wes got to come visit me Saturday and Sunday. Abby LOVED the beach! She played in the sand and charged towards the waves! At the convention we had the best time and learned so much! We took classes on marketing, photography, landscape photography and some posing and lighting techniques. We also got to see all of our great photographer friends and LaRita won an award for Distinguished portrait of a child. I was so proud of her!! LaRita is currently the president of our association and Co-chairman of our next years' convention in Albany, Ga. I cannot wait to attend again. I always feel that going to all of our photography events make me a better photographer and forms closer bonds with fellow photographers!

Miss Lilly

We had the pleasure of photographing a really wonderful family. Keri, Justin and Miss Lilly! They are new to our studio and we had the best time chasing after Lilly. She just recently turned one and definitely gave Ms. Mandy some exercise! This is just one of the many beautiful images we made of thier family.

Amanda Vernon

We finally have some new little ones posted. With being so busy with all the seniors coming in, LaRita & I had forgotten how much we enjoy working with babies. This week we got to play with Amanda Vernon's lil man. He was so sweet and easy to photograph. Mandy thought he was the biggest flirt! He just smiled and smiled. We really enjoyed working with your family Amanda, thanks!

Pinewood School Pictures

All last week we were at PCA taking underclass pictures. We started the week with the k4 and worked our way thru the week to the 11th graders. Mandy loves this, because she gets to look at all the cute outfits the kids are dressed up in. But overall, the week went great, without a hitch. And we enjoyed interacting with the little Pinewood kids which we hardly ever get to do! We still have group pictures to do, so listen out for the schedule.

Whoa! The last couple of weeks have been crazy here at the studio! LaRita and I cannot believe that school had already started at a lot of our schools. We are so ready for this hot weather to be over with!
