Patty Cake, Patty Cake...baker's man...whew! We finally found the trick for a great smile on james' face! Mandy sang it to him at least 10 times and we really had a great session...what FUN :) James is nine months now and we cannot believe how much he's grown. One of our most loyal customers Tonya Ward brought her three amazing (and Beautiful!) children by the studio last week. Despite the freezing weather...we really had a great session. We talked with the girl's about what Santa had got for them and how school was going...Mrs. Mandy even tried to get the boyfriend info out of them! They replied with " Ewwwwhhh Yuck" and some blushing faces....smart girls! Then it was Brennan's turn...he did so great. I really think he's one of the easiest children to photograph. But what he really liked was Mrs. Mandy's frog. So to Kiley, Sarah-lyn and Brennan....we love you guys and enjoyed the session so much!

GPPA Convention 2009

LaRita and I recently got to attend our state convention for Georgia Professional Photographers of America. It was on Jekyll Island, and Abby and Wes got to come visit me Saturday and Sunday. Abby LOVED the beach! She played in the sand and charged towards the waves! At the convention we had the best time and learned so much! We took classes on marketing, photography, landscape photography and some posing and lighting techniques. We also got to see all of our great photographer friends and LaRita won an award for Distinguished portrait of a child. I was so proud of her!! LaRita is currently the president of our association and Co-chairman of our next years' convention in Albany, Ga. I cannot wait to attend again. I always feel that going to all of our photography events make me a better photographer and forms closer bonds with fellow photographers!

Pinewood School Pictures

All last week we were at PCA taking underclass pictures. We started the week with the k4 and worked our way thru the week to the 11th graders. Mandy loves this, because she gets to look at all the cute outfits the kids are dressed up in. But overall, the week went great, without a hitch. And we enjoyed interacting with the little Pinewood kids which we hardly ever get to do! We still have group pictures to do, so listen out for the schedule.

Lauren, her mom, Tammy and her little sister Lacey came and spent at least 2 hours with us on Friday afternoon. We had plans to go downtown, but it was so HOT! The heat advisory was over 100 degrees! So we decided to do all of Lauren's indoor backgrounds that day. And I think they turned out great! Lauren is so open and has such a great fashion sense it was hard to get a bad image. But keep on the look out. We'll have more pictures coming from Lauren later on in the week. We're gonna try to tackle the outdoor photography around sunrise when it isn't SO HOT. Stay tuned.....

Lately Mandy, Kim and I have been doing alot of outdoor location work. This is just that time of year when everything is beautiful. The grass is greener, the flowers smell sweeter and the weather is just right for scheduling an outdoor session. Amy and Wesley Godbee did just so with their little man. We also had Shay Morgan and all her boys come by the studio last week. We cannot believe her baby boy is already a year old! It's really amazing to watch your clients grow up before your lens!
